Description

This square stoneware coaster carries Freddy's bladed hand, printed in bold red on a deep black ground. The hand rises from the lower edge, its four fingers stretching into long, curved blades, and the palm and fingers are built entirely from lines of lettering. At the wrist the words Never Sleep Again stand out in the largest letters, before the print breaks into a ragged splash at the base. The red has a worn, distressed texture, a little like an old cinema poster, which keeps the design gritty rather than clean-cut. The face measures 10cm across on each side and the coaster is 0.5cm thick, so it sits low and flat.
