Description
The Nicosa is a flush ceiling light with a clear ribbed glass bowl that sits close to the ceiling, finished at its centre with a neat turned finial. Fine ribs run from the rim towards the middle of the shade, so the glass catches the glow of its two bulbs and looks lively when the light is on. It is 8.5cm tall and 30cm across, a low, compact shape for rooms where a hanging pendant would be in the way. Made of brass and glass, it comes in six finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Satin Brass and Satin Chrome.
A hallway is the natural home for this one. Its low profile keeps it well clear of heads where the ceiling is low, and with two bulbs behind the ribbed glass it gives you a good, welcoming light for coming and going. Choose Antique Brass or Satin Brass for a warm, traditional look, Polished Brass for more shine, or Antique Silver, Polished Chrome or Satin Chrome where your door handles and switches are silver toned. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.
Every Nicosa is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass with a ribbed glass shade. It is a Class I mains fitting, to be wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. Bulbs are sold separately: the fitting takes two E14 bulbs, up to 40W per bulb, so have a pair ready before the light goes up. Our photographs show the Polished Brass, Antique Silver, Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Polished Chrome and Satin Chrome finishes.
