Description

The large Ngolo is 16cm across and 16cm tall, broad in proportion where the smaller two stand more upright, with a rim that flares a little and runs out of true where the glass was left. Amber covers the top of it, matt and frosted, breaking at a soft grey band about two thirds of the way down. Below that the glass goes cream and rust runs over the curve of the foot in loose vertical streaks.

This is the size that takes the front of a table on its own. Set among the other two it is the one that holds the group together. A tealight sits well down inside a body this wide, so the light comes out through the amber wall rather than over the rim.

Each one is hand blown from recycled glass, so the streaks of rust do not fall alike on any two and the grey band sits at a different height on each. The Ngolo runs in three sizes and in an aged smoke as well as this amber. A tealight is not included.

Frequently Asked

How big is the large Ngolo?

16cm tall, 16cm wide and 15.5cm deep. The small is 9cm and the medium is 13cm.

Is it round?

Close to it. Each one is blown by hand, so this size measures 16cm one way across and 15.5cm the other.

Is the glass recycled?

Yes, and every holder is blown by hand.

How do I look after it?

Wash it with a mild dish soap and warm water after each use so that wax does not build up in the bottom. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners off the finish.

Does it get hot in use?

Yes. Stand the tealight securely with the flame clear of the glass, keep it away from children, let it cool fully before you move it, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
