Description

The Nehir is a single wall light with a squat ribbed glass globe set under a domed metal cap with a small round finial on top, held out from the wall on a slim curved arm. The ribs in the clear glass break the glow of the bulb into soft vertical lines, so the light spreads gently rather than glaring. It is made of brass and glass. It is 26cm tall and 20cm wide, and it stands 17.5cm out from the wall. It comes in Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black or Polished Brass, with the Matt Black in RAL 9005, and you can choose a Plain or Knurled texture.

It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It suits a bedroom, a living room or a dining room. A pair either side of a bed gives each side its own light at night. A pair or a run along a living room or dining room wall adds a soft, low glow for the evening without a bright ceiling light. The antique finishes sit well with deeper paint colours and older furniture, Polished Brass and Satin Brass bring more shine, and Matt Black gives a darker outline against a pale wall.

Each Nehir takes one E27 bulb, sold separately, of up to 4W per bulb, so check the wattage on the bulb when you choose one. It is a Class I fitting, wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Every light is made to order for you in Ireland. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. Before you order, measure your wall: the light needs a clear space 20cm wide and 26cm tall, with room to stand 17.5cm out.
