Description
Neeson is a grey stoneware plant pot with a lot of character in its surface. It stands 21.5cm tall and 14.5cm across, with a gently flared rim and a body that swells, narrows and swells again before tucking in towards the base. A deeper grey band runs around the top, and below it a speckled, pitted glaze spills down in scalloped edges, thinning into drips near the foot. The texture is deep enough to feel under your fingers, so the pot reads as rough and earthy rather than smooth and even.
At 14.5cm across, it suits a single houseplant of modest size, such as a cactus, a small fern or a cluster of spring bulbs. The height gives tall, upright growth a balanced base, and the pot is slender enough for a side table, a windowsill, a bookshelf or the corner of a desk. The grey glaze sits comfortably beside warm oak, woven throws and dark wood furniture, so it settles easily into a living room or a reading corner. Without a plant, it also works as a sculptural piece on a mantelpiece or a stepped shelf among other ceramics.
The pot is made entirely of stoneware, a dense, hard-wearing clay fired at high temperature, and it weighs 1KG, which gives it a steady footing once planted. Because of the nature of the glaze, colour variations may occur, so the speckle and the run of the scallops can differ from one pot to the next and yours will be its own. We like that variation: it keeps the piece from looking uniform. For the best effect, pair it with a plant whose shape echoes the curves, such as a columnar cactus, or group it with one or two plainer pots in a similar grey so its texture takes the lead.

Frequently Asked
What material is the pot?
It is made of 100% stoneware, a dense, hard-wearing clay, finished with a deeply textured, speckled glaze.
How big is it?
It is 14.5cm across and 21.5cm tall, a good size for a single houseplant such as a cactus, a small fern or a few spring bulbs.
How heavy is it?
It weighs 1KG, so it feels solid in the hand and stands steadily on a shelf or side table once planted.
Does every pot look exactly the same?
No. Because of the nature of the glaze, colour variations may occur, so the speckle and the scalloped edge differ a little from one pot to the next.
Is the plant included?
No. You receive the pot alone; the plant and the other styling props shown are not included.
Where does it look best?
It suits a side table, windowsill, bookshelf or mantelpiece, and its grey glaze sits well beside warm wood and woven textiles.
