Description

This natural white rock salt lamp brings a soft, warm glow to a shelf, desk or bedside table. It is a single piece of rock salt left in its rough, natural form, with an irregular rounded outline and a faceted surface that catches the light. Unlit, the salt is white; switched on, it glows a gentle peach that fills a corner with warmth rather than brightness. It stands 15.2cm tall, 9.6cm wide and 10.6cm deep, and weighs between one and two kilograms, so it is compact enough for a small table while feeling solid and substantial.

We think it suits the rooms where you want a calmer, lower light in the evening: a bedroom, a reading corner, a living room shelf or a home office once the main lights are off. The glow is soft and ambient, so it works as a night light or a mood light rather than a lamp to read by. Its natural look sits comfortably with wood, linen, stone and plants, and it makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who likes a quiet corner to unwind in at the end of the day.

The salt sits on a round, dark brown base that keeps it steady on a flat surface, and a white cord runs from the base with an inline switch, so you can turn it on and off without reaching behind the lamp. Salt draws moisture from the air, so keep it in a dry room rather than a bathroom or beside a steamy kitchen hob, and dust it with a soft dry cloth rather than wiping it wet. On wooden furniture, a small mat or coaster underneath is a sensible touch. For gifting, it pairs nicely with a good book or a soft throw for a cosy evening in.
