Description

The Nao is a rectangular wall light with an adjustable reading light built in, finished in matt black. A slim upright backplate holds a small cylindrical head on a pivoting joint, so you can angle the beam onto a book or a crossword and keep the light where you want it. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. It draws 3W and gives 180 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a colour rendering index of 80 or more and a 110° beam. The tube-shaped head is 10cm long and 2.5cm across, and a USB charging port sits in the backplate beneath the switch.

It is made for the bedroom. Mount one either side of the bed, and each sleeper has their own light to read by and a place to charge a phone overnight without a trailing extension lead. It works just as well beside an armchair in a reading corner, over a desk in a study, or in a guest room where a compact wall light frees space on a small bedside table. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It switches on and off rather than dimming, so there is no dimmer to buy or match.

The structure is iron with an aluminium base, finished in a smooth matt black that suits modern interiors. It sits quietly against pale painted walls and darker panelling alike. It runs on 220-240V mains and is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For a balanced look, we suggest fitting a pair at the same height either side of a headboard, with the heads angled slightly inward towards the pillows, so each of you can read without lighting the other's side.
