Description

The Nao is a rectangular LED wall light with a reading light built in: a slim matt white backplate carries a single tube head on a pivoting joint, so you can angle the beam exactly where you need it. Its rectangular backplate gives it a neat, architectural outline on the wall. It runs on an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. It draws 3W and gives 180 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a colour rendering index of 80 or more and a 110° beam.

Beside a bed is where it does its best work. Mount one either side of a double bed and each of you can read without disturbing the other, or set one over a reading chair in a living room or study. The adjustable head lets you aim the light down at a book or across at a desk. It is rated IP20, which means dry rooms only, so it suits bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and home offices rather than anywhere damp. Its clean, modern lines sit easily with contemporary and pared-back schemes alike.

The structure is iron with an aluminium base, finished in matt white. A push switch on the backplate turns it on and off within easy reach; it is a simple switched light and is not dimmable, so there is no dimmer to buy. It runs on 220-240V mains and is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, a matt white finish disappears against pale walls and stands out crisply against darker paint, so pick the wall colour first and let the light follow.
