Description

The Nans S/31 is a woven outdoor pendant light with a rounded, barrel-shaped shade in Beige (with Light Blue and Light Grey), hung from a Graphite Brown structure. The shade is 30.7cm tall and 31.5cm across, and the drop runs from 46cm to 200cm, so it can hang low over a table or higher in a tall space. Inside is an integrated LED of 9.5W giving 265 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so food, wood and faces look natural under it. Because the LED is integrated, there is no bulb to buy. The open weave lets the light glow softly through the shade.

With an IP54 rating, it is made for outdoor use, so it suits a covered terrace, a pergola, a porch or a dining table in the garden just as well as a dining room or living room indoors. Hang a single one over a small bistro table, or a pair in a line over a longer table, where the rounded form reads well from every side. At 265 lumens it gives a gentle, atmospheric glow rather than bright task light, which is what most of us want over an evening meal. It is TRIAC dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can bring it down further as the evening goes on.

The structure is made from stainless steel and aluminium, and the shade is woven from synthetic fibre, so you get the look of a woven lantern in a fitting rated IP54 for outdoor use. It runs at 230V and is a Class I fitting, wired in to the mains; a qualified electrician should install it.
