Description

The Nans S/16 is a small woven pendant light for indoors and out, with a rounded, cylindrical shade of synthetic fibre cord woven into an open lattice. The shade is 16.5cm tall and 16.7cm across, in Beige (with Light Blue and Light Grey), and it hangs on a single cable from a Graphite Brown structure, with an overall height of 200cm. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: 8W giving 285 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, skin and fabrics looking true to colour. The light glows softly through the open weave.

Rated IP54, the Nans S/16 suits outdoor use as well as indoor rooms. We like it hung above an outdoor dining table under a pergola, by a covered porch door or along a terrace, where a woven shade sits naturally with garden furniture. Indoors it works over a dining table or in a living room beside a favourite chair, and several hung in a row look well over a long table. At 285 lumens it gives a soft, warm glow rather than bright task light, so it is best where mood matters more than brightness. It is TRIAC dimmable on a compatible dimmer, so you can bring it down further for evening meals.

The structure is stainless steel and aluminium in Graphite Brown, and the shade is woven from synthetic fibre, which brings the look of a woven basket to a fitting rated for outdoor use. The ceiling canopy is 12cm across and 4cm tall, small enough to sit neatly on a porch ceiling or beneath a pergola beam.
