Description
The Nakuru console is a glass top 120cm long and 38cm deep, standing 84cm from the floor on a frame of thin square tube. Under the top at each end sits a second sheet of glass, held by the frame on three sides and open towards the middle, so the run between them is clear. The legs drop straight to the floor and are joined near the bottom by a slim stretcher.
At 84cm high and only 38cm deep, this is a surface at standing height against a wall rather than a table to sit at. That depth means it will stand along a hallway without narrowing it, and across 120cm there is room for a lamp at one end and a bowl for keys at the other. The two shelves underneath take the post, the gloves and the folded scarf that would otherwise end up on the top.
The frame is iron under a brass finish, and the top and both shelves are glass. Because the panels are glass and the frame is thin, the wall behind the console shows straight through it, which keeps a narrow hall from closing in. Nakuru also runs to a desk, a coffee table, a drinks table and a pair of side tables built the same way.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
120cm long, 38cm deep and 84cm high.
What is underneath?
Two glass shelves, one at each end, open towards the middle.
What is the frame made of?
Iron with a brass finish. The top and both shelves are glass.
Will it fit in a hallway?
It needs 120cm of wall, and at 38cm deep it takes very little width out of a corridor.
How do I look after it?
Warm soapy water or a glass cleaner will do the glass, and a damp cloth is enough for the metal. Nothing abrasive and no harsh chemical should touch either. Dry and polish it with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Stand it on firm, level ground out of extreme heat, and keep very hot or very cold items off the glass.
