Description

The Muse is a 300mm outdoor wall light moulded from UV-stabilised white resin with an IP66 rating and a single E27 fitting. The resin body and diffuser are treated to resist corrosion from atmospheric agents and chemical fertilizers, and the material is rated to function across a temperature range of -60°C to +90°C.

Designed for exterior walls, garden perimeters, gate posts and entrance areas where both illumination and weather protection are needed, the Muse carries an IP66 rating that provides complete protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets. The 130mm projection from the wall positions the light source forward of the mounting surface, casting light downwards and outwards rather than flat against the wall.

The white resin construction gives the fitting a 300mm horizontal presence without the weight of metal equivalents, making it suitable for mounting on rendered walls, timber cladding and lightweight garden structures where heavier fittings might require reinforcement. The E27 fitting accepts standard bulbs up to the specified wattage, allowing choice between warm-white LED for residential use or higher-output bulbs for commercial and security applications. The dimmable rating depends on bulb choice — pair with a dimmable LED to enable dimmer control.

What does IP66 mean for outdoor use?

IP66 provides complete protection against dust and powerful water jets from any direction. The Muse can be mounted in fully exposed positions including areas hit by driving rain, garden irrigation spray, or coastal environments where salt spray is present.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most residential installations pair this with a 6-10W LED in 2700K-3000K for warm-white light, though higher-output bulbs can be used for security or commercial applications.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb fitted. The Muse accepts dimmable E27 LED bulbs, which then allow the light to be controlled via a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not respond to dimmer control.

Can it handle freezing temperatures?

Yes. The resin construction is rated for use between -60°C and +90°C, so the fitting will operate in sub-zero winters and hot summers without material degradation or cracking.
