Description
The Muse is an outdoor wall light with a 300mm curved white resin body housing a single E27 bulb fitting. The IP66 rating provides full protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making it suitable for exposed wall positions on garden buildings, pathways, porches and patio areas where direct rain and hosing occur.
Designed for year-round outdoor installation, the light operates across a temperature range of -60°C to +90°C, covering both UK winter frost and summer heat. The UV-stabilised white resin finish resists yellowing and degradation under prolonged sunlight, and the material is engineered to resist corrosion from atmospheric moisture and chemical fertilisers in garden settings. The curved form directs light downwards and outwards from the wall, providing functional illumination for walkways and building access points.
The 130mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the bulb while keeping the fitting compact enough to avoid obstruction on narrow paths. The E27 fitting accepts standard outdoor-rated LED, CFL or halogen bulbs up to the manufacturer's specified wattage (sold separately), allowing control over brightness and colour temperature. The white resin finish pairs with render, painted brick, timber cladding and modern composite materials commonly found on UK residential exteriors.

Frequently Asked
What does IP66 mean for this outdoor light?
IP66 indicates full dust protection (the first 6) and protection against powerful water jets from any direction (the second 6). This means the Muse can withstand direct rain, garden hose cleaning, and dusty environments without water or dust entering the electrical components.
What bulb does it take?
The Muse takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Use an outdoor-rated LED bulb for energy efficiency and longevity, with wattage not exceeding the maximum stated in the fitting's documentation. Most installations use 6-10W warm-white LED bulbs.
Can it be used in freezing temperatures?
Yes. The fitting is rated from -60°C to +90°C, well beyond the range of UK outdoor temperatures. The resin construction will not crack or become brittle in frost conditions typical of British winters.
How is the light mounted to the wall?
The fitting mounts to an outdoor-rated junction box or pattress using standard fixings (supplied). The 130mm projection requires sufficient clearance from eaves, window frames or other obstructions. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician to ensure weatherproof cable entry and correct earthing.
