Description

The Muse is a 300mm outdoor wall light moulded from high-performance resin in a two-tone grey and white finish, rated IP66 for full dust ingress protection and resistance to high-pressure water jets. The body and diffuser are treated with UV stabilisers to prevent colour fade under direct sunlight, and the resin formulation resists corrosion from atmospheric moisture, salt spray and chemical fertilisers commonly used in garden environments.

Designed for external installation on house walls, garden walls, patios and entrance porches, the Muse takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and is compatible with dimmer switches when paired with a dimmable LED bulb. The 130mm projection from the wall surface gives clearance for bulb changes and positions the light source forward of the mounting surface to reduce glare when viewed from the side.

The resin construction operates across a temperature range of -60°C to +90°C, allowing installation in regions that experience both harsh winters and hot summers without material degradation or cracking. The grey outer frame and white diffuser panel provide tonal contrast that pairs with both contemporary render finishes and traditional brick or stone elevations. At 300mm length, the fitting suits standard door surrounds, garage entrances and mid-sized wall panels between 2-4m wide.

IP66 provides total protection against dust ingress and resistance to high-pressure water jets from any direction. The Muse can be installed in locations exposed to heavy rain, hose cleaning or coastal spray without water penetrating the internal components.

The Muse takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for exterior ambient lighting. The fitting is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.

Will the grey and white finish fade outdoors?

The resin is UV-treated to resist colour fade under direct sunlight. Over several years of continuous outdoor exposure some minor tonal shift may occur, but the treatment significantly slows degradation compared to untreated plastic or painted finishes.

The resin construction is rated for operation from -60°C to +90°C, allowing installation in climates that experience severe winter frost or high summer heat without the material cracking, warping or losing structural integrity.
