Description
The Muse is a 300mm outdoor wall light cast from UV-stabilised resin in a matt black finish, housing a single E27 bulb behind a white diffuser panel. The resin body carries an IP66 rating, providing complete dust protection and resistance to powerful water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for fully exposed exterior walls, patios and garden boundaries.
Designed for year-round outdoor use in the UK and continental climates, the Muse operates across a temperature range of -60°C to +90°C without material degradation. The resin construction resists corrosion from rain, coastal salt spray and chemical fertilisers, and the UV stabilisation prevents the black finish from fading under sustained sunlight. The 130mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of rendered or stone surfaces while maintaining a low-profile presence.
The diffuser panel distributes light evenly across the front face, providing wall wash and forward spill without harsh glare, which suits entrance porches, garden paths and terrace seating areas. The E27 socket accepts standard LED, CFL or filament bulbs up to the manufacturer's recommended wattage (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible bulbs and dimmer switches.

Frequently Asked
What does the IP66 rating mean?
IP66 provides complete dust protection and resistance to powerful water jets from any direction. The Muse can be installed in fully exposed positions including walls facing prevailing rain, under eaves with no shelter, and on coastal properties subject to salt spray.
What bulb does it take?
The Muse takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit a warm-white LED bulb between 8-15W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor ambient lighting. Check the Specification tab for the maximum wattage rating.
Is it suitable for UK winters?
Yes. The resin body withstands temperatures from -60°C to +90°C without cracking or warping, making it suitable for typical UK winter conditions and extreme cold in Scotland and upland areas.
Can the black finish fade over time?
The resin is UV-stabilised during manufacture to resist fading under sustained sunlight. In typical UK outdoor conditions the black finish remains consistent for several years, though all outdoor finishes will show some weathering over extended periods.
