The Murané R is a ring chandelier. One slim ring, 110cm across and in a Brushed Champagne finish, carries amber glass spheres set around it, some sitting on the top edge and some hanging just beneath. Each sphere is 10cm across, and the glass has a rippled surface that catches the light and gives off a warm, honeyed glow. The light comes from integrated LEDs, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It draws 21W and gives 1177 lumens at 2700K, a warm white that feels right in the evening, with a CRI of 90, so food, fabrics and skin tones look true to life.

At 110cm across, this amber glass chandelier is made for a generous space. We like it over a long dining table, where it frames the table in soft, warm light. In a living room with good ceiling height, it gives the room a clear centre and works well as a warm focal light for relaxed evenings. Because the light passes through amber glass, its tone is mellow rather than bright and white, which suits warm woods, linen and natural stone. Rated IP20, it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use.

The Brushed Champagne finish has a soft sheen, a quieter take on gold that sits happily in modern and traditional rooms alike, and each amber glass sphere has its own pattern of ripples. The chandelier comes without its canopy, so you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which fixes to the ceiling and covers the connection. It also needs a remote 24V DC driver, not included and sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC the LEDs run on. A qualified electrician wires it in to the mains through that driver, so it is worth agreeing with them where the driver will sit before installation day.
