Description

The Mos 02 is a large pendant light built as a stack of seven pleated tiers, each a deep band of translucent ribbon, stepping out to a wide middle and back in to a narrow base. We sell it with a choice of two shades, White Translucent Ribbon or Cream Translucent Ribbon, and in either one the light passes softly through the fine pleats. Its structure is iron, and it hangs from a round canopy 14cm across. The shade is 69cm tall and 90cm across, so this is a ceiling light with real presence, sized for rooms that can give it space.

A pendant this wide is at its best where it has room around it. Hung over a long dining table it gives the whole room a clear centre, and in a living room it makes a generous main light, the pleated ribbon softening the light from within. White Translucent Ribbon sits easily with pale walls and light woods, while Cream Translucent Ribbon brings a warmer tone; both suit a calm, tailored home as well as a relaxed one. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

Each tier is pleated in fine, even folds, and a thin edging to every band keeps the outline of the stack crisp. The fitting runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician; it is a Class I fitting. It needs five E27 bulbs, sold separately, to give its light, and each bulb can be up to 15W, so choose bulbs of 15W or less. With those in place, the Mos 02 is ready to light your dining or living room. Our photographs show the white version.
