Description

The Monto is a semi flush ceiling light with two glass globes, one at each end of a straight horizontal bar that hangs from a round ceiling plate on a short central stem. It is made of brass and glass, and it measures 61cm long, 15cm tall and 12cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling while spreading its light along its length. We offer it in five finishes, Matt Black, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass and Satin Brass, with the Matt Black painted to RAL 9005, and with globes in Opal, Clear or Frosted glass. It takes two G9 bulbs, which are sold separately, at up to 6.5W per bulb (LED).

Rated IP44, the Monto suits a bathroom, and it is just as at home in a hallway, landing, kitchen or bedroom with a lower ceiling where a hanging pendant would get in the way. Its 61cm length makes it a natural choice over a long bathroom vanity or kitchen island, or along a narrow corridor, and its two lights give a more even spread than a single point of light. Clear glass leaves the bulbs on view, while Opal and Frosted glass diffuse them into a softer glow, so choose the glass for the mood you want and the finish to sit alongside your taps, handles and other fittings.

Every Monto is made to order for you in Ireland, its brass frame finished in the colour you choose and fitted with the glass you pick. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. Measure your ceiling before you order: at 61cm long and 12cm deep it needs a clear stretch, and at only 15cm tall it leaves plenty of headroom beneath it. Our photographs show the Matt Black finish.
