Description

The Montavo is a 600mm vertical tube wall light cut from natural Spanish alabaster, capped at top and bottom with matt black discs and mounted on a slim matt black solid copper backplate. An integrated 15W LED at 3000K runs the length of the tube, lighting the stone from within so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser rather than the light source sitting behind a separate shade.

At 600mm tall, 65mm wide and 90mm projection from the wall, the Montavo suits hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and the flanking walls of mirrors or artwork. The slender 60mm stone diameter and minimal projection mean it works in tighter circulation spaces where a wider sconce would feel intrusive. Hard-wired to 230V mains with the LED already integrated, there is no bulb to source or replace.

The alabaster shows soft white tones with grey-brown veining that varies from one piece to the next, since each tube is cut from a different section of stone. The matt black caps and rectangular backplate sit deliberately quiet against the alabaster, drawing the eye to the natural marbling rather than the metalwork. The combination reads as architectural rather than decorative, pairing well with plaster walls, dark timber, and contemporary or minimalist interiors.

Does the Montavo come with a bulb?

The LED is integrated into the fitting, running the full length of the alabaster tube. There is no separate bulb to buy or replace. The light source is rated at 15W, 3000K warm white, on 230V mains.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Montavo does not carry a stated IP rating, so it should be installed in dry indoor locations such as hallways, bedrooms and living rooms. It is not specified for bathroom zones or external use.

Will the alabaster veining match the photo exactly?

No. Each tube is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the soft white tone, veining and grey-brown markings vary between individual pieces. The product photograph shows one example of the stone pattern; the piece you receive will share the same character but not identical markings.

How is it mounted to the wall?

The slim matt black rectangular backplate fixes to the wall and the alabaster tube mounts in front of it on a short bracket, giving a 90mm projection. It is hard-wired to 230V mains and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
