Monsi Garden Chair - Green

Our Monsi garden chair is an iron armchair in green, made entirely from galvanised iron, with three wide slats across the back, a slatted seat and tubular armrests that curve down from the back to meet the seat frame. It stands 55cm long, 55cm wide and 80cm tall, with a seat 45cm off the ground and 40cm deep, which is the height of an ordinary table chair, so it pulls up to most garden tables without anyone sitting too high or too low. The arms sit at 64cm, giving somewhere to rest your elbows while you talk.

This is a chair for outdoors: the patio, a porch or veranda, a lawn under a tree or a greenhouse with room for a table. Put a pair either side of a garden table, or a few around it, for long summer evenings with friends. The maker gives a maximum load of 160KG, so it suits most adults, and at 6KG it is light enough to move into the shade or back against the wall when the sun goes round. A single chair also works on its own beside a hammock or a planter as a quiet spot to read.

Galvanising gives iron a coat of zinc that helps it resist rust, and the legs carry a green powder coating over the galvanised iron.
