Description

The Monroe is a glass cone wall light that hangs its shade on a cable from a slim arm, held to the wall by two round wall plates. It is made of brass and glass and comes in five finishes, Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Natural Brass, Polished Brass and Satin Brass, each with a choice of Clear or Opal glass for the cone shade. It stands between 77cm and 102cm tall, is 17.5cm wide and projects 31.5cm from the wall, so it gives the look of a pendant without needing a ceiling point. It has a single shade, and bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED).

It is rated IP65, so it can go in a bathroom as well as a bedroom, a dining room or a living room. In a bedroom it makes a good reading light beside the bed and keeps the bedside table clear. In a dining room, a pair either side of a sideboard or dresser frames the wall well, and in a living room it brings a pool of light to a favourite chair or a quiet corner. Antique Brass, Natural Brass, Polished Brass and Satin Brass suit a warmer scheme, while Antique Silver sits well with greys and cooler colours.

Every Monroe is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass with a glass cone shade. It is a mains fitting, wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered.
