The Mistral is a 550mm flush ceiling light with five curved acrylic diffusers arranged around a polished chrome central disc, each housing an integrated LED module. The five acrylic elements overlap and interlock to form a sculptural assembly that sits 80mm below the ceiling, casting 2700 lumens of 3000K warm white light across the room. The acrylic is frosted white, diffusing the LED output into soft ambient light without visible hotspots.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and lounges with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, the Mistral provides general ambient lighting for spaces up to approximately 20-25m². The flush-mount design makes it suitable for rooms where a pendant would hang too low, and the 550mm diameter gives enough visual presence to anchor a seating area or bedside without overwhelming smaller rooms. The fitting mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with the integrated driver housed inside the chrome canopy.

The polished chrome frame reflects ambient daylight and adds metallic contrast against the frosted acrylic, creating a two-tone effect that works in contemporary interiors with chrome taps, handles and mirror frames. The curved geometry of the acrylic diffusers gives the fitting a sculptural profile when viewed from an angle, so it reads as a design piece rather than a basic flush light. At 5.1kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling anchor point, not just plasterboard alone.

The integrated 30W LED is non-dimmable and rated for 3000K warm white output, so it cannot be adjusted with a standard trailing-edge dimmer. Is the Mistral dimmable?

Can it be fitted directly to plasterboard?

No. At 5.1kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or a suitable anchor point rated for the weight. Plasterboard alone will not support it safely.
