Description

The Mist is a 94x63cm arched wall mirror with a gold-finished polyurethane frame featuring beaded inner and outer edges, corner rosette details and a raised leaf crest at the top of the arch. The frame depth of 4cm gives the mirror a defined profile on the wall without dominating narrow hallways or alcoves.

Designed for hallways, above console tables, bedroom dressing areas and traditional-style living rooms, the arched shape softens the geometry of rectangular rooms and pairs comfortably with period or classical furniture. The 94cm height provides a full head-and-shoulders reflection when mounted at typical picture rail height, while the 63cm width suits walls between doorways or above narrow console tables where a wider mirror would overwhelm the space.

The polyurethane frame mimics the weight and appearance of carved wood or plaster but at 6.4kg total weight it mounts more easily than an equivalent timber-framed mirror. The gold finish has a mid-tone warmth that sits between pale champagne and deeper antique brass, pairing with both warm wood tones and cooler grey or taupe walls. The beaded detailing runs continuously around the frame perimeter, and the four corner rosettes add visual weight to the lower corners without disrupting the arch line.

The mirror has D-rings or a hanging bracket on the reverse. At 6.4kg total weight it requires two wall fixings rated for at least 4kg each, with appropriate wall plugs for the wall type (plasterboard, brick or masonry).

Can it be hung horizontally?

The mirror is designed for vertical hanging with the arched top uppermost. The hanging hardware on the reverse is positioned for vertical orientation, and the leaf crest detail at the top of the arch would appear upside-down if rotated.

How is the gold finish maintained?

Wipe the polyurethane frame with a dry or barely-damp soft cloth. The material does not tarnish like real brass, so no metal polish is needed. For the mirror glass, use a standard glass cleaner and avoid letting liquid run down onto the frame join.
