Description

The Minvora is a plug-in wall light with a hinged swing arm, a round backplate and a bell-shaped shade, finished in black with a fine matt texture. The body is steel, and the inside of the shade is white. It measures 30cm wide, 21cm high and 13cm long, and takes a single E27 bulb up to a maximum of 10W. The bulb is not included, so you can choose the colour of light that suits the room. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

Because it plugs into a socket, it suits a rented home or a room that has no wall light point. Fit it beside a bed or next to a reading chair, fold the arm out to bring the shade closer to your book, then swing it back against the wall when you have finished. The cord switch hangs within easy reach, so you can turn the light off without leaving your chair. It works in a bedroom, a living room, a study or a hallway, and the plain black finish sits comfortably against concrete, timber panelling or painted plaster.

The arm folds at its joints, and the shade tilts at a pivot fitted with a knurled knob, so you can set the angle by hand. Steel is a sturdy, hard-wearing metal, and the black finish carries across every part, from the backplate to the cord. The cord switch keeps everyday use simple: a single flick and the light is lit. The installation instructions come as a download, and we suggest a warm white E27 bulb within the 10W limit for a soft pool of light beside a bed or chair.
