Mini Riti Round GU10 Recessed Downlight - White

The Mini Riti is a round recessed downlight that takes a single GU10 lamp, drawing up to 10W on a standard 220-240V AC supply. It sits flush in the ceiling to give a clean, directional pool of light, the format US buyers will know as a recessed can light. Because it runs a replaceable PAR16 GU10 rather than an integrated LED board, the output and colour temperature follow whichever lamp you fit, so the fitting itself does not lock you into a fixed brightness or tone.

The compact Ø85mm trim suits hallways, landings, kitchens and living spaces where a tidy, low-profile ceiling finish matters, and it works well in runs spaced across a room for even general lighting. As an IP20 fitting it is for dry indoor rooms only and should be kept out of bathrooms, porches and any damp or sheltered-outdoor position. The actual coverage depends on the GU10 lamp you choose, so a brighter, wider-beam GU10 will light more of a room while a tighter beam concentrates light onto a feature, worktop or piece of furniture below.

Built from aluminium alloy with a white finish, the housing measures Ø85 by 102mm and weighs 172g, slim enough to fit a shallow ceiling void. It is recessed into a cut-out in the ceiling and held by its spring clips, with no separate driver needed since the GU10 lamp runs directly from mains. What cut-out size does it need?

The Mini Riti has an overall trim diameter of Ø85mm, which is larger than the ceiling cut-out the body drops into. Check the recess hole specified for this model rather than using the trim diameter, and confirm you have at least 102mm of clear depth above the ceiling for the body.

Is the GU10 lamp included, and can it be dimmed?

The Mini Riti is supplied as the fitting and takes a separate GU10 (PAR16) lamp rated up to 10W. Whether it dims depends on choosing a dimmable GU10 and pairing it with a compatible wall dimmer, as the fitting itself imposes no dimming function.

How many do I need for a room?

Because the brightness comes from the GU10 lamp you fit, the number depends on the lumen output and beam angle of that lamp. As a general guide, space several evenly across the ceiling for balanced ambient light, and add more where a tighter-beam lamp is used to keep coverage even.

How do I clean it?

Switch off the power and let the lamp cool, then wipe the white trim with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners on the aluminium finish, and make sure the fitting is fully dry before switching the power back on.
