Description

The Mini Riti is a recessed LED downlight built around a GU10 lamp holder, taking a PAR16 reflector lamp up to 10W. It drops into the ceiling for a near-flush finish, with the round aluminium-alloy housing measuring Ø85 mm across the trim and 102 mm in depth. Running on 220-240V AC mains, it suits a standard GU10 fitting throughout, which US buyers will recognise as a recessed can light using the same MR16-style twist-lock lamp.

Because the light comes from a directional GU10 PAR16 lamp, the Mini Riti works well as a general ceiling light in hallways, landings, kitchens and living spaces, where a grid of several units spreads even light across the room. Brightness and beam spread depend on the GU10 lamp you fit, so coverage is best judged by lamp choice rather than a fixed area; a typical domestic layout spaces downlights evenly to wash the floor and worktops without dark patches. The compact 85 mm trim keeps it discreet in lower ceilings where a larger fitting would look heavy.

The body is aluminium alloy in a black and white finish, giving a sturdy heat path for the GU10 lamp. It carries an IP20 rating, so the Mini Riti is for dry indoor ceilings only and should be kept out of bathrooms, porches and any damp or exposed location. Installation is recessed into the ceiling through a cut-out, and the GU10 lamp is replaceable, so you can swap colour temperature or wattage at any time. What cut-out hole does the Mini Riti need?

The fitting itself measures Ø85 mm at the trim with a 102 mm depth behind. Cut the ceiling aperture to suit the housing body so the unit drops in and the trim sits flush; always allow the full 102 mm clearance above the plasterboard for the lamp and wiring.

Does it come with a GU10 bulb?

The Mini Riti is supplied as a fitting and takes any standard GU10 PAR16 lamp up to 10W. This lets you choose your own brightness and colour temperature, and lamps are easy to replace later without removing the fitting.

Can I dim it?

Dimming depends on the GU10 lamp you install rather than the fitting. Fit a dimmable GU10 LED lamp on a compatible LED dimmer and the downlight will dim; a non-dimmable lamp will not.

How do I clean it?

Switch off and let the lamp cool, then wipe the trim with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive pads on the black and white finish, and do not let moisture reach the GU10 holder, as the fitting is IP20 and rated for dry indoor use only.
