Description

The SQMOTION-W is a microwave motion sensor that switches connected lighting on automatically when movement is detected, then off again after a set period. Decoded from its article code, it is an IP20 part in a compact white plastic housing measuring 90 x 90 x 27 mm, wired into a 220-240V AC mains supply. Microwave detection works by sensing motion across a space rather than reading body heat, so it can react through thin partitions and over a wide area, which makes it a flexible alternative to a standard PIR.

This sensor suits hallways, stairwells, store rooms, garages and other indoor areas where hands-free switching is useful. The IP20 rating means it is for dry interior use only, so keep it out of bathrooms and away from any exposed or wet location. It mounts cleanly and connects in line with the fitting it controls.
