Description

The Mercury 1000mA switch-mode power supply delivers variable 3-12V DC output at up to 1000mA across all voltage settings, supplied with eight interchangeable DC plug sizes and a USB adaptor. The unit accepts 100-240V AC mains input at 50/60Hz, making it compatible with UK and international mains when paired with an appropriate socket adaptor.

Designed for powering small electronics that require switchable voltage — routers, CCTV cameras, USB hubs, audio equipment, LED controllers — the Mercury adaptor replaces multiple fixed-voltage wall warts with a single unit. The voltage selector dial on the housing allows switching between seven output levels (3V, 4.5V, 5V, 6V, 7.5V, 9V, 12V) without needing separate adaptors for each device. The eight included DC plugs cover the most common barrel jack sizes used in consumer electronics.

The switch-mode topology converts mains voltage more efficiently than linear transformers, reducing heat generation and idle power consumption. At 75 x 50 x 42mm and 120g the unit is compact enough for desk drawers, tool kits and travel bags. The moulded UK plug folds flat against the housing when not in use, and the detachable DC cable allows the plug head to be swapped without re-wiring.

How do I know which DC plug to use?

Can the voltage be changed while the device is connected?

No. Always disconnect the power supply from both the mains and the device before changing the voltage selector dial. Switching voltage under load can damage the connected device.

The detachable DC output cable is approximately 1.2m long, giving flexibility to position the mains plug away from the device being powered.
