The Meltem is a brass and glass wall light. A pear-shaped glass shade hangs on a short length of chain from a hooked brass arm, which runs out from a round backplate fixed to the wall. It comes in five finishes, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Polished Brass and Satin Brass, with a choice of Clear or Opal glass, so you can match it to the taps, handles or other metalwork in the room. It is 37cm tall and 11.5cm wide, and it stands 24cm out from the wall. It takes one E27 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED), and bulbs are sold separately.

Its IP65 rating means the Meltem wall light can go in a bathroom or en-suite, beside a mirror or over a basin. It also suits a bedroom, where a pair either side of the bed works well. It is just as comfortable in a living room or dining room, lighting an alcove, a picture wall or the space beside a fireplace. It suits anyone who likes to see how a light is put together: the hook, the chain links and the stepped collars around the bulb holder are all on show.

Every Meltem wall light is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass with a glass shade, and it is a Class II fitting. Choose your finish and your glass when you order, as each light is made up to that choice. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. It is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. Have an E27 bulb of up to 6.5W (LED) ready, and the light can be used as soon as it is fitted. Our photographs show the Antique Brass finish.
