The Medan is a double wall light with two swan neck arms in brass, each curving up and over to hold a frosted glass shade shaped like a bell, with a softly frilled rim. Between the arms, scrolled brass fretwork with small looped details frames a round wall plate, giving the fitting a traditional, ornate look. We offer it in Antique Brass, Antique Silver or Polished Brass, so you can match the finish to the metalwork already in your room. It is 27cm tall and 40cm wide, and it stands 24cm out from the wall. Each arm takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb, and the bulbs are sold separately, so you can choose the ones you prefer.

With a shade on each arm and a width of 40cm, the Medan spreads its light across a wall and suits a living room, a dining room or a bedroom. A pair either side of a fireplace, a sideboard or a bed makes a balanced arrangement, and a single fitting sits well over a dresser or in a dining room alcove. As it stands 24cm out from the wall, it is happiest where people are not brushing past it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The Medan is made from brass and glass, and every one is made to order for you in Ireland. It is a Class I fitting, so it is earthed, and it is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. As each light is made to order, choose Antique Brass, Antique Silver or Polished Brass when you place your order, and have two E27 bulbs ready for the day it goes up.
