Description
This stoneware pedestal bowl is 26cm across and 15cm tall, a cream bowl lifted on a flared foot and ringed with a bold graphic pattern. A row of loops hangs from the rim around the outside of the bowl, and a band of arches, each paired with a small dot, circles the base of the foot. The inside is left plain cream with a thin contrasting line at the rim. At 1.37KG it has a reassuring weight, and the foot lifts it clear of the surface on which it stands.
As a decorative bowl it earns its place wherever a flat surface needs a little height. Set it in the middle of a dining table or sideboard as a centrepiece, on a coffee table, filled with pine cones or dried petals, or on a hallway console as a home for keys. At 26cm across it is generous enough to hold its own on a long sideboard, and at 15cm tall it adds height to a low table while staying low enough not to block a view across the table. The cream ground sits easily with natural wood, rattan and woven textiles, and the graphic band suits anyone who likes a relaxed, natural interior with a little pattern.
The bowl is made entirely of stoneware, a dense, hard-wearing ceramic that accounts for its steady weight. The surface has a fine, slightly speckled texture across the foot and the outer bowl, and the pattern is drawn in loose, confident lines that thicken and thin as they travel round. It is not food approved, so keep it for display and for dry things such as keys, jewellery or dried flowers. For an easy finish, place it on a wooden bench or sideboard with a woven wall hanging or a textured throw nearby, and let the cream and the graphic band play against warm natural materials.

Frequently Asked
What is the pedestal bowl made of?
It is made entirely of stoneware, a dense ceramic, which gives the bowl its weight of 1.37KG and a steady footing.
How big is the bowl?
It is 26cm across and 15cm tall, a generous size for a centrepiece on a dining table, sideboard or hallway console.
Is it for decoration or for everyday use?
It is a decorative bowl and is not food approved, so we keep it for display and for dry things such as keys, jewellery, pine cones or dried flowers.
What colour is it?
The bowl is cream, with a bold graphic pattern of loops around the outside of the bowl and arches with small dots around the foot.
Is the inside patterned too?
