Description

The Maxi P/180 is a tall outdoor floor lamp from our Maxi range: a slim white polyethylene column, 180cm tall and 28cm across, that glows softly from top to bottom when lit. Fine vertical ribs run the full height of the shade, which narrows gently towards each end and stands on a round white base. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 2344 lumens of warm 2700K light from 49.2W, with a CRI of 90, so planting, timber and faces keep their natural colours after dark.

We think it looks best in a garden, on a terrace or beside a patio, where a single column gives a soft marker of light and several stand well together along a path or seating area. It is rated IP66 and made for outdoor use, so it does not need a sheltered spot. Indoors it suits a living room just as well, standing in a corner or beside a sofa. It plugs in, on a 3.8m cable, which gives you some freedom over where it stands. It comes in two versions: non-dimmable, or TRIAC dimmable for use with a compatible dimmer, so choose the TRIAC dimmable version if you want to turn the light down for quieter evenings.

It is made from medium density polyethylene, iron and stainless steel, with the white polyethylene forming the ribbed shade that the light shines through. It runs on 230V. At 180cm it stands around head height, so it reads clearly across a garden or terrace at night. Before you choose its spot, check that the 3.8m cable comfortably reaches the socket you plan to use. It has a plug on its cable, and we include a UK adaptor in the box, so it is ready for a UK socket. Outdoors, the plug and the adaptor must sit in a covered, weatherproof outdoor socket.
