Description

The Maxaas is a tall floor candlestick with five arms, made from aluminium in a bright, polished nickel finish. It stands 155cm tall, 58cm long and 30cm wide, so it belongs on the floor rather than a table or sideboard. A slender central column rises from a round, stepped base, swelling and narrowing through a run of rounded rings, then opens into four curving arms set around a taller central cup. Each of the five cups sits on a flat, round dish, and the arms sweep out and up so the candles stand clear of one another.

Lifting the candles well above the furniture, it gives a room the warm, generous glow that small table holders cannot match. We like it in an entrance hall, beside a fireplace, in the corner of a dining room, or in a pair either side of a doorway.
