The Maua is a flush ceiling light made of brass, with a rounded dome shade that sits on a short collar beneath a round ceiling plate. It is 19cm tall and 30cm across, so it keeps close to the ceiling, and the open base of the dome faces downwards around its single bulb. We offer it in four finishes: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver and Satin Brass, so you can pick the one that sits best with the handles, frames and switches already in your home. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and bulbs are sold separately, so you choose the bulb that suits you.

We think the Maua is at its best in a hallway, where a flush ceiling light keeps the space clear overhead and gives a simple, tidy welcome as you come through the front door. Standing just 19cm from the ceiling, it suits a hallway where a hanging pendant would feel in the way. The single dome makes a neat centrepiece without crowding a narrow space. Each Maua is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass, in the finish you choose. It is a mains fitting, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered by that guarantee. As every light is made to order, settle on your finish when you order, whether Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver or Satin Brass, and have an E27 bulb of no more than 40W to hand for the day it goes up.
