Description

The Mattanza is a long, slim LED batten in white, 150cm long, 3cm wide and 4cm high, with a white plastic body and a white plastic diffuser running its full length. The light source is integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace, and it draws 24W to give 2,800lm at 4000K, a crisp neutral white. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room, away from splashing water.

As well as sitting flush on a ceiling, its shallow profile makes it a natural choice for the underside of kitchen wall cupboards, where it lays an even band of light across the worktop; keep it well clear of the sink. It works just as well on a wall above a workbench, a hobby desk or a pegboard of tools in a dry garage or workshop, giving bright, practical light exactly where the work happens. At 150cm long, one batten covers a long run, which suits anyone who wants clear task lighting without a row of small fittings.

The black rocker switch sits on the side of the body, so you can turn the light on and off right at the fitting. It is not dimmable, so it is not suited to a dimmer switch. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and carries energy class E. Packed, it weighs 0.646KG, which makes it easy to handle. Plastic wipes clean easily, a real help beneath kitchen cupboards, where cooking leaves a greasy film over time.
