Description

The Marvella is a 200mm LED wall light built around three materials: a hemispherical dome carved from light beige travertine, a circular walnut backplate, and a curved matt black arm that links the two. An integrated 3000K LED sits beneath the stone dome, throwing light downward and casting a soft halo along the lower edge of the travertine.

Designed as ambient and accent lighting rather than primary task light, the Marvella suits bedrooms either side of a bed in place of bedside lamps, hallways at shoulder height, and living rooms flanking a sofa, mirror or piece of artwork. The wall-mounted format keeps surfaces clear and the integrated LED removes the need for a separate bulb. Mounted as a pair, the fitting frames a feature wall with symmetry without dominating it.

The travertine dome shows the natural pitting and mineral veining typical of the stone, so the surface texture differs slightly between individual fittings. The walnut backplate is approximately 120mm in diameter and contrasts the warm wood grain against the cooler beige of the travertine and the matt black of the arm. The 200mm overall height keeps the fitting compact enough for narrow hallways and bedside positions where a larger sconce would crowd the wall.

Yes. The Marvella uses an integrated LED rated at 3000K (warm white) on 230V mains, so no separate bulb purchase or replacement is needed. The LED is built into the fitting beneath the travertine dome.

Is the Marvella suitable for bedside use in place of a table lamp?

Yes. The 200mm height and downward light cast make it well-suited to mounting either side of a bed at shoulder height when seated, freeing up the bedside table. Mount the fitting roughly 500-600mm above the mattress for comfortable reading-adjacent ambient light.

Will the travertine vary between pieces?

Yes. Travertine is a natural stone with characteristic pitting, mineral veining and tonal variation. Each dome shows a slightly different surface pattern, which is a feature of the material rather than a defect.
