Description

The Marghera is a ring-shaped pendant light: a slim black steel band 60cm in diameter, with a white plastic diffuser set into its underside, hung from a round ceiling canopy on three fine wires. It stands 110cm tall overall. The light source is integrated LED, four 6.5W lights built into the ring, which means there are no bulbs to buy or change. It carries an IP20 rating, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms such as a living room, dining room or bedroom.

This is a light for living rooms, dining rooms and open-plan spaces where one fitting has to cover several moods. It is dimmable, and its white light adjusts from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, so the same pendant gives clear, bright light for reading or a family meal and a gentler, warmer glow late in the evening. It is colour-changing (RGB) too, so you can bathe a room in pink, green or another colour of your choosing for a party or a quiet night. The black ring reads cleanly against a pale ceiling and sits comfortably in a modern room.

It is controlled by app, and it also works with a remote control, which is sold separately and does not come in the box. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so the wall switch stays on for the app to do its work. As a mains light that is wired in, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and weighs 4.092KG packed. Check the height of your ceiling before ordering, since the pendant stands 110cm tall overall.
