The Maremagnum is a 6-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a sculptural polished chrome frame that spirals outward from a central canopy in a series of intertwining curved arms. Six clear glass spheres sit at intervals along the chrome loops, each housing a G9 bulb fitting. The chrome frame measures 630mm in diameter and projects 550mm from the ceiling, giving the fitting a substantial physical presence in the room without hanging as low as a full pendant.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Maremagnum functions as both a light source and a decorative centrepiece. The curved arms create a three-dimensional structure that looks different from every angle in the room. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient daylight during the day and multiplies the effect of the bulbs when lit at night, while the clear glass spheres scatter light outward rather than directing it downward in a focused beam.

The semi-flush mounting places the fitting close enough to the ceiling to work in rooms where a full drop pendant would intrude on headroom, but far enough down to give the frame visual separation from the ceiling plane. Each of the six G9 bulbs (sold separately) can be chosen to suit the room, warm white LEDs at 2700K-3000K for softer ambient light, or daylight temperatures at 4000K+ for brighter task-oriented spaces. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

The chrome arms are formed from hollow metal tubing rather than solid rod, keeping the 3.7kg weight manageable for standard ceiling fixings while maintaining the structural rigidity needed for the cantilevered design. The glass spheres are individually seated into the chrome framework and can be removed for cleaning or bulb changes without dismantling the entire fitting.

What bulbs does the Maremagnum take?

The fitting takes six G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with LED G9 bulbs between 3W-5W per bulb. Choose warm white (2700K-3000K) for living and dining areas, or daylight temperatures (4000K+) for kitchens and home offices.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. Check that both the bulbs and dimmer are rated for LED if using LED capsules, as older halogen dimmers may not work correctly with low-wattage LEDs.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 550mm drop from ceiling to lowest point of the frame suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In rooms with lower ceilings the fitting may feel visually heavy, though it will not obstruct headroom in the way a full drop pendant would.

How are the glass spheres cleaned?

The spheres can be removed individually from the chrome frame for cleaning. Switch off the mains power, allow bulbs to cool fully, then gently twist each sphere to release it from its socket. Clean with a soft microfibre cloth and glass cleaner, then refit once dry.
