Maremagnum 1 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Maremagnum is a 120mm flush ceiling light built around a clear glass sphere held within a sculptural polished chrome frame. The metal framework wraps around the glass in a continuous flowing pattern, creating an organic silhouette that resembles swirling ribbons or fluid movement frozen in metal. A single G9 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the glass sphere, casting light through the clear glass and reflecting off the chrome surfaces.

Designed for hallways, cloakrooms, en-suites, and rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low, the 100mm projection from ceiling to base keeps the fitting compact while the sculptural frame provides visual interest at close range. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day, giving the fitting presence even when switched off. At night the interplay between the chrome frame and the lit glass sphere creates both direct downlight and reflected sparkle off the metal curves.

The Maremagnum is part of Mantra's Spanish-designed collection of architectural decorative lighting. Each fitting weighs 0.6kg and mounts directly to a ceiling rose using a concealed backplate behind the chrome canopy. The G9 socket accepts both halogen and LED capsule bulbs up to the rated wattage, and the fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The clear glass sphere is approximately 80mm diameter, with the chrome framework extending the overall diameter to 120mm.

What bulb does the Maremagnum take?

It takes a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). Most users pair it with a 2-4W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for hallways and cloakrooms, or a higher wattage for spaces needing brighter task light. Halogen G9 bulbs are also compatible up to the rated wattage.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 100mm projection from ceiling to base makes it appropriate for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low or feel visually heavy.

Can it be dimmed?

The fitting itself is compatible with dimming when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb model chosen — check the bulb packaging or contact us for pairing advice.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulb to cool fully. Wipe the glass sphere and chrome frame with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or stubborn marks on the chrome, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable — dry immediately to avoid water spots on the polished finish.
