Description

Three cheese knives, each with a hammered blade in a gold finish and a handle of acacia wood. The blades take three different shapes: a broad rectangular cleaver, a small rounded spreader, and a narrow blade that ends in a forked tip. Each handle is held by a collar and a single rivet in the same gold, and the acacia runs a warm red brown with the grain showing through it.

The three shapes cover a board between them. The cleaver takes a wedge off a hard cheese, the spreader works a soft one onto a biscuit, and the forked tip lifts a cut slice across.

The blades are metal, hammered by hand so the surface is faceted rather than flat, and finished in gold. The handles are acacia, held by a gold collar and a rivet. Acacia runs warm and red brown and takes the grain differently on every handle, so the three in a set do not match each other exactly. Three knives come in a set.
