The Malvina is a 15cm diameter glass pendant light combining three separate glass elements: an inner frosted cylinder, a clear outer spherical shell, and a shallow clear top plate, all suspended from a polished chrome canopy. A single G9 bulb (included) sits inside the frosted cylinder, which diffuses the light outward through the clear outer glass, creating a layered glow with both soft ambient light and defined shadow lines from the chrome framework.

Designed for kitchen islands, hallways and dining areas where multiple pendants can be grouped, the 15cm diameter works over worktops when hung 700-800mm above the surface, or in hallways as a single feature. The 1250mm total drop is adjustable during installation by trimming the cable within the chrome rod. The frosted inner cylinder prevents direct glare from the bulb while the clear outer shell maintains transparency, so the pendant does not visually dominate a space even when unlit.

The polished chrome finish on the canopy, support rod and upper frame creates reflections that shift depending on the room's lighting, pairing well with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and other metallic fixtures in kitchens and bathrooms. The three-layer glass construction gives the pendant a 0.85kg weight, providing a solid presence without requiring additional ceiling support beyond a standard UK ceiling rose. The G9 lamp is dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch.

Is the Malvina dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable G9 bulb and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. The included G9 bulb may or may not be dimmable — check the bulb packaging or replace with a dimmable G9 LED if dimming is required.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1250mm total drop is adjustable during installation by trimming the cable within the chrome support rod. For kitchen island or worktop use, the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Can multiple Malvina pendants be grouped together?

Yes. The 15cm diameter and compact silhouette work well in groups of two or three over a kitchen island or dining table. Space pendants 400-500mm apart for balanced light coverage without overlapping shadows.

How is the glass cleaned?

The clear outer shell can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and glass cleaner. The frosted inner cylinder is accessible by unscrewing the lower chrome cap that holds the outer shell in place, allowing the frosted glass to be removed and cleaned separately.
