Description

An indoor planter formed from rolled iron sheet, 24cm tall and 30cm across at its widest, in an aged bronze finish. The sides swell out from a small pedestal foot to their widest at about the middle, then draw in slightly to a plain rim 24cm across. The finish is a dark warm brown that reads almost black in shadow and lifts to a bronze sheen where the light runs across the curve, deeper at the base than across the shoulder.

The opening is 24cm across, so it takes a plant that arrives in a nursery pot of about that width. It is for plants that need a light water or a spray, and for indoor use only.

Each pot is formed from rolled iron sheet using traditional metalworking, then finished in aged bronze, so the colour is a surface worked over the iron rather than the metal itself. The Maliki runs to three sizes: the smallest low and wide, this one taller, and the largest taller again.
