Malana Small Recycled Glass Candle Holder - Smoke Brown

A straight-sided glass cylinder 9cm tall and 8cm across, ribbed from top to bottom in close vertical flutes. The glass is a smoke brown, and the base is thicker than the wall above it with a band of small bubbles and irregularities running through it. A tealight sits inside on that base.

The ribbing is what the light works on. A tealight inside throws its flame through the flutes, so the wall reads as alternating light and dark bands rather than as one even glow, and the smoke brown turns the light amber. At 9cm this is the smaller of the two Malana sizes, low enough to stand along the centre of a laid table without blocking a sightline across it.

The glass is recycled, and the smoke brown is not even across the piece: it reads darker through the ribs and through the thick base, and lighter across the thin wall between them. Malana also runs at 14cm tall and 10cm across, and the two sizes stand together along the centre of a table. The tealight is not included.

What candle does it take?

A tealight, standing on the base inside.

How big is it?

9cm tall and 8cm across. Malana also runs at 14cm tall and 10cm across.

Is it food safe?

No. It is for decorative use only, and it is neither dishwasher nor food safe.

Is the glass recycled?

Yes.

How do I look after it?

Wash it with a mild dish soap and warm water after each use to clear wax, and keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners off the finish. Position the tealight securely and keep the flame clear of the glass.

Does it get hot in use?

Yes. Keep it out of reach of children, wait until it has cooled fully before handling it, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
