Description

The Mahi is a two-tier side table in slim square-section iron, 55cm high, 46cm wide and 36cm deep. Four legs run the full height of it, and between them sit a flat rectangular top and a second shelf set low down, both with a slight upturned lip at the edge. The whole frame is finished in antique brass, which is warm and lightly variegated rather than bright.

The top is 46 by 36cm, small enough to slot in beside a chair without crowding it, and at 55cm the table stands high enough to serve a bed as readily as a chair. The lower shelf takes what will not fit on the top, so books can sit under a lamp rather than beside it. The frame is open on all four sides, so the floor and the skirting stay visible behind it and the table does not close off a corner.

The table is iron, finished in antique brass over the whole frame including both shelves. The surface is smooth rather than hammered or textured. The Mahi range runs well beyond this table, to a console table, shelving units, a bench, a bathroom caddy, a wall shelf with a towel rail and a toilet roll holder, all in the same brass.

Frequently Asked

How big is the table?

55cm high, 46cm wide and 36cm deep.

Does it have a shelf?

Yes. A second shelf sits low between the legs, the same size as the top.

What is it made from?

Iron, under an antique brass finish.

Is it solid brass?

No. The frame is iron and the brass is the finish on it.

How do I look after it?

Use coasters under glasses, as the finish can mark where it meets a hot drink or a spill. Blot any spillage straight away with a dry cloth, and do not use chemical cleaners on it.
