Description

This square photo album keeps a baby's first pictures together behind a soft white cover printed with Simba from The Lion King. He bounds across the front with a playful cub beside him and a bird swooping overhead, among pale clouds, little stars and a butterfly, with the words "life's an ADVENTURE" in gold lettering above them. The spine is dotted in soft grey and carries the words "Joy of the pride" on a little printed banner. The album measures 17.5cm tall, 18.5cm wide and 3cm deep, and its pages take 6 x 4in prints in portrait, in clear slip-in pockets.

Inside, an "ALL ABOUT me" page sets out lines for the baby's name, the day they were born and where, their weight and height, and their eye and hair colour, so the album keeps the story as well as the pictures. It suits a nursery shelf or a bookcase in the family room, and as it is freestanding it can sit upright among picture books, ready to be taken down and leafed through. We think it makes a thoughtful gift for a little one up to three years old, something the family fills in together and treasures as the little one grows.

The cover is printed and the pages have no mounts, so your prints slip into the pockets and stay neatly in place. A cream ribbon ties the album closed with a bow, which keeps it tidy on the shelf and gives it the look of a wrapped present when you hand it over. To care for it, dust the cover with a soft dry cloth and keep it somewhere dry, away from steam and strong sun, so the cover and your photographs stay at their best. For a gift, slip a few favourite pictures inside before you give it, and leave the "ALL ABOUT me" page for the parents to fill in.
