The Maddison is a 42cm diameter crystal chandelier built on a French gold frame with six G9 bulb fittings arranged inside a cylindrical drum. The drum is formed from three cascading tiers of rectangular and square-cut crystals that hang vertically from the frame, creating a structured curtain of glass around the light sources.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Maddison provides ambient and decorative lighting through a combination of direct light from the bulbs and refracted light from the crystal elements. The adjustable drop ranges from 420mm minimum to 1900mm maximum, allowing installation over dining tables at 700-800mm drop or as a statement piece in double-height hallways at full extension. The 42cm diameter suits rooms of 12-20m² without dominating smaller spaces.

The French gold finish on the frame has a warmer tone than polished brass or bright gold, sitting between antique brass and champagne gold in colour. This warmer metallic pairs with traditional oak furniture, warm-toned wall colours and classical plasterwork details. The crystals are facet-cut with different shapes across the three tiers, so light refracts at different angles depending on viewing position. The Maddison takes six G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 3-5W warm-white LED G9 bulbs at 2700K-3000K for a warm ambient glow through the crystals.

What drop height works best over a dining table?

For a standard dining table with a 2.4-2.6m ceiling height, set the chandelier 700-800mm above the table surface. This positions the lower crystal tier at approximately eye level when seated, maximising the visual impact of the refracted light without obstructing sight lines across the table.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe each crystal element individually with a dry microfibre cloth, working from top to bottom. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the frame or suspension cables and do not use chemical sprays.
