Description

The LYYT Wide Crown is a 1m surface-mount aluminium LED profile with a frosted polycarbonate diffuser measuring 21mm visible width. The crown profile sits 11mm high with an internal channel 20mm wide by 7mm deep, designed to house LED tape up to 15mm strip width while providing clearance for thermal dissipation.

Designed for surface mounting onto walls, ceilings, cabinet undersides and shelving edges, the profile accepts standard adhesive-backed LED strip and uses snap-fit installation for the frosted diffuser. The frosted finish diffuses point sources from individual LEDs into an even line of light, reducing glare and hot-spotting. The 1m length suits compact installations, alcove lighting, short shelf runs and mirror surrounds where longer extrusions would need cutting or joining.

The aluminium extrusion acts as a heat sink, drawing warmth away from the LED strip to maintain output and extend strip lifespan. The wider 21mm visible surface creates a broader band of diffused light compared to narrow 10-12mm profiles, making it suitable for applications where the profile itself becomes a design feature rather than hidden detail. The frosted diffuser clips into grooves on both edges of the channel and can be removed for strip replacement or cleaning.

Supplied with end caps and surface-mount clips for fixing directly to flat surfaces. The profile can be cut to shorter lengths with a hacksaw if needed, though cutting voids the manufacturer's specification. Multiple 1m sections can be joined end-to-end using separate connector accessories (sold separately) for runs longer than 1m.
