Description

The LYYT Tall Crown is a 1m aluminium LED profile with an 18x16mm external cross-section and a crowned snap-fit diffuser. The profile houses LED tape inside a 12x10mm internal channel, with the diffuser sitting 14.5mm above the base to hide the tape from direct view and soften light output through the translucent crown.

Designed for surface mounting on shelving, cabinet plinths, cove lighting and architectural features, the profile accepts standard 10mm-wide LED tape (sold separately). The 16mm height provides deeper diffusion than low-profile alternatives, reducing glare and creating a more uniform light wash along the length of the run. The profile ships with mounting clips and end caps to secure the installation and seal the ends.

The aluminium extrusion acts as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the LED tape to maintain consistent output and extend LED lifespan. The snap-fit diffuser can be removed for cleaning or tape replacement without tools, then re-clipped into place. The anodised aluminium finish pairs with both brushed metal and painted surfaces in contemporary and traditional interiors.

What width LED tape does it accept?

The 12mm internal width accepts standard 10mm-wide LED tape. Some 12mm tapes will fit but verify the exact tape width before ordering. The internal depth of 10mm accommodates most single-row and some double-row LED tapes.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes. The aluminium extrusion can be cut with a hacksaw or mitre saw to any length shorter than 1m. Cut ends should be deburred and fitted with the supplied end caps to seal the channel.

Is the diffuser removable?

Yes. The crowned diffuser clips into the profile channel and can be removed by hand for cleaning or LED tape installation, then re-clipped without tools.

What's included in the pack?

The 1m profile is supplied with mounting clips, end caps and the snap-fit diffuser. LED tape, power supply and connectors are sold separately.
