Description

The LYYT Short Crown is a 2m aluminium LED profile with a frosted crowned diffuser, measuring 18mm wide by 9mm tall externally. The internal channel is 12.5mm wide by 6mm deep, sized to accept standard LED strip up to 12mm wide. The frosted acrylic diffuser clips into the aluminium extrusion and sits slightly raised above the profile edges, creating a subtle crown shape that diffuses light evenly while concealing the individual LED diodes.

Designed for surface mounting onto shelving, under cabinets, inside wardrobe runs, or along furniture edges, the 9mm profile height allows installation in tight clearances where taller profiles would not fit. The aluminium extrusion acts as a heat sink for the LED strip, prolonging diode life and preventing thermal degradation in enclosed spaces. Mounting accessories included with the profile allow fixing directly to wood, MDF, or painted surfaces using small countersunk screws.

The 2m length can be cut to size on site using a hacksaw or mitre saw, allowing the profile to be fitted to exact cabinet widths or custom shelf runs without wastage. End caps (sold separately) seal the cut ends and give a finished appearance. The frosted diffuser softens hotspots from high-density LED strips and provides a continuous line of light rather than individual points, making it suitable for task lighting in kitchens, display lighting in retail, and accent lighting in living areas.
