Description
The LYYT deep-section LED profile is a 1m aluminium extrusion with a 16mm x 12mm external cross-section and an 11mm x 9mm internal cavity, designed to house LED tape behind an 11mm-wide frosted diffuser. The deeper 12mm profile provides better light blending than shallow profiles, reducing the appearance of individual LED hotspots on short tape runs.
Designed for surface mounting on walls, under cabinets, shelving, display cases and ceilings, the profile ships with end caps, mounting clips and a snap-in diffuser. The aluminium body acts as a heat sink to extend LED tape lifespan, while the frosted diffuser converts the individual diodes into a continuous light line. The 1m length can be cut to size on site using a hacksaw or mitre saw.
The 11mm visible diffuser width gives a narrow, defined line of light that works for accent lighting, task lighting under kitchen cabinets, or highlighting shelving in retail and residential settings. The silver anodised aluminium finish blends with most neutral interiors and provides a clean edge to the light run. LED tape is sold separately and must be 11mm wide or narrower to fit inside the 11mm internal cavity width.

Frequently Asked
What width of LED tape does this profile accept?
The internal cavity measures 11mm wide, so the profile accepts LED tape up to 11mm in width. Standard 10mm and 8mm LED tapes fit comfortably. LED tape is sold separately.
Can the profile be cut to length?
Yes. The 1m aluminium extrusion can be cut to any shorter length using a hacksaw or mitre saw. Cut slowly to avoid burrs and deformation of the profile edges.
What's included in the box?
Each 1m profile includes the aluminium extrusion, the frosted snap-in diffuser, two end caps and mounting clips for surface installation. LED tape, power supply and cable are sold separately.
How is it mounted?
The profile surface-mounts using the included clips, which screw into the wall or ceiling and hold the aluminium extrusion in place. The diffuser then clips into the profile once the LED tape is installed and wired.
